Board of Education adopts boundary changes beginning fall 2012
The Wichita Board of Education adopted changes to school boundaries beginning in the 2012-13 school year during its March 5 meeting. Links to the new boundary maps are on the right. 

The $370 million bond issue passed in 2008 included the construction of six new schools. Five of the new schools are scheduled to open in the fall of 2012 - – Northeast Magnet High School in the northeast quadrant, Isley Traditional Magnet Elementary in the northeast quadrant, Christa McAuliffe Academy K-8 school in the southeast quadrant, Ortiz Elementary in north Wichita and Enders Elementary in south Wichita. 

With the addition of new schools, the Wichita Public Schools has the tremendous opportunity to build new school boundaries in order to provide 21^st century learning opportunities for all of Wichita’s children. The Board of Education worked with RSP and Associates for 18 months to develop a new boundary plan that would both take advantage of state-of-the-art school facilities and allow the district to live within the financial constraints presented by diminished state funding of public education.
